Summary/Abstract: The author describes the evolution of the formation and development of indeclinable nouns in Russian. There are captured developmental trends in this area of study from the 18th century to the beginning of the 21st century and their reflection in specialist literature. Within the individual decades of the 20th century are demon-strated: the thematic focus of the borrowed lexis and the specific manifestations of the enrichment of indeclina-ble noun classes in Russian. It is a sequel to previous outputs published by the author.
