The natural gas market in Poland in the context of the country's energy needs

Summary/Abstract: The paper refers to the situation in Polish gas market. The first part of the study concerns to the importance of gas as a energy source in Polish economy. The analysis of natural gas resources and its extraction was conducted in the article. Second part of the paper focuses on the structure of Polish gas supplies and its consumption in the domestic market. Results of surveys shows that demand for this fuel increases in energy, trade and services sectors in Poland. The article characterizes the market of LNG and CNG as a part of the gas market with specific requirements for transport and storage.
