Summary/Abstract: With the development of new technologies new communication tools are created on the market. Building relationships with clients in such an environment is becoming increasingly difficult. Marketers must be up to date with technical innovations in communication tools in order to adapt them to groups of their own customers, and thus be more competitive than other companies. Periscope and the Meerkat are communication tools which for several months appeared on the market and gained in popularity among consumers. They form part of social media in the context of livestraming that is broadcasting their chosen events live. The article quotes the results of research on social media popularity in Poland and abroad.
