The impact of environmental innovations in a formation of the competitive advantage of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the usage of eco-innovations in building a competitive advantage of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The analyzed region is one of five provinces of Eastern Poland, that is the macro-region with the lowest level of economic development in the country. The aim of the article was to identify the eco-innovations and ways of supporting them in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship as a form of improvement of a competitive advantage of the region within the framework of smart specializations. The results of the analysis allow to conclude that ecological innovations are crucial issues in a regional policy of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and will have positively influence on the improvement of its competitive position among other regions of Eastern Poland.
