Summary/Abstract: International relations as an area of scholarly research inescapably study religion in very different forms. As for the formal recognition of such research, sources in the filed have gone through a visible transformation and progress, with a new outlook. The official recognition of religion in comparative international politics, as the case was with ethnicity and identity, is an indicator if its profound influence. How should we evaluate religion? Will the evaluation be qualitative or quantitative? How does one draw a clear line between what is religious and what is not, and how to present something on the basis of such criteria? How is it possible to study an area (religion) realistically and unequivocally, on the basis of a large number of interpretations? Even in social studies and humanities, there is this dilemma, how can a topic, simple in its essence, be presented in connection to complex and complicated information, which can deliver results about the behaviour of mankind?
