Sovereign Wealth Funds as part of international economic strategy on the example of China

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to review an issue of sovereign wealth funds and their role in the global economy, with particular focus on the analysis of Chinese funds. The study methods that have been used are: analysis of literature, secondary data analysis and case study. The main subject of reaserch is China Investment Coproration Fund, which is engaged in investing the reserves from trade surpluses. Available specialized literature, statistical data from the OECD studies, Sovereign Wealth Funds Institute and the annual reports of the funds were used in the article.
