Pesticide residues in agricultural crops in Poland in the light of the principles of sustainable development of agriculture

Summary/Abstract: The idea of sustainable development also applies to agriculture in Poland. One of the elements of this idea is to rationalize the use of plant protection products (pesticides). The article presents the scale of the use of pesticides in Poland and in particular their residues in agricultural crops. We pay attention to the most important legal acts in force on permissible pollution standards using pesticides in agricultural products (raw materials). We point to the monitoring of the use of plant protection products as well as directions to limit their effects.
