Summary/Abstract: The long term effects of the free movement of persons (growth effects) on Romania aren't clearly defined and framed (negatively or positively). Essentially, there are two points of view on this matter. On one side (the neo-classic perspective), the free movement of persons is regarded as an instrument that is useful for national economy convergence. On the other side, the free movement of persons is considered as a phenomenon that causes the growth of development differences between coutries (disadvantaged locations will lose various manufacturer factors).
