Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper was to perform a thorough analysis of the activities of seniors’ clubs functioning in the urban space of the city of Wroclaw. The analysis was based on a survey of leaders of particular clubs and the survey of the participants of the activities (the seniors). The research was conducted at the turn of 2013 and 2014 in relation to all the clubs identified in the space of the city (62 units). THE results of the research allowed to evaluate the effectiveness of the seniors’ clubs in activating elderly persons and their spatial accessibility up till now. They also indicated the problems connected with their functioning in the context of the local policy and allowed to identify a wealth of developmental potential of various forms of activation directed at elderly persons. An important effect of the conducted analyses was also the formulation of the most important recommendations for the policy of local development.
