Summary/Abstract: The paper addresses the issue of career success from the point of view of the demands of the changing job market in the 21st century. The traditional and the new concepts of career and career success are reviewed in light of the ‘connection economy’ which demands networking skills, synchronization, trust and exchange of ideas.
