Summary/Abstract: Spatial order is a component of integrated order. Shaping it refers to the context of balanced development. Objectively appearing internal and external conditions decide about the rational direction of development of a specific area in striving to achieve integral order. The present article devotes most attention to problems associated with the shaping spatial order on protected areas in north-eastern Poland and determination of the main fields of spatial conflicts between the socio-economic development and nature protection. Shaping spatial order is a vital assignment of local community which is rep-resented by self-governments of towns and communes. The areas under legal protection in north-eastern Poland, are the most coherent territories, particularly valuable in terms of biological diversity. These are national parks, nature reserves, landscape parks, protected landscape areas, Natura 2000 areas, natural monuments, documentation positions, ecological grasslands, landscape and nature units, and the protection of plants and animals.
