Summary/Abstract: The content of this article is to identify opportunities and threats that arise from the implementation of the concept of smart specialization on the tourism industry in particular, on the development of clusters in this industry. The article briefly presents the concept of smart specialization. Also describes the current 3tage of development of the Polish tourism clusters in this context presents the potential impact of the introduction ofsmart specialization.
