ROE determinants of polish cooperative banks before during and after the financial crisis

Summary/Abstract: The study was made to determine the factors determining the profitability of own funds of cooperative banks, depending on the economic situation. The study shows that the financial crisis of 2008–2009 resulted in a significant way to manage the activities of the Polish cooperative banks, which in the period of crisis have focused their attention on the one hand to the security of the other, to support the activities of Polish enterprises. In the period after the crisis, while cooperative banks led to a further degree of safety policy to maintain liquidity, but increased activity in the financing of local markets.
