Summary/Abstract: Vasile Voiculescu’s religious poetry can be divided into two stages. The thin red line that separates them is marked by the poet’s participation at The “Rugul Aprins” Movement, during the course of which he appropriates the hesychastic practice. One may remark significant differences between the poems published before 1948 and those that followed his partaking at The Rugul Aprins. There ensues a qualitative leap, a substantial enrichment of his poetry, raised to the highest steps of spiritual experience.
