The particular part and importance of sheepbreeding in the traditional occupational pattern as well as in the common economic structure has been indicated. The detailed presentation of annual cycle and routine forms of organisation in sheepbreeding allows the author to settle its main characteristics and special features due to drawing of a typological framework. Popular customs and ritual practices, notions and beliefs relevant to sheepbreeding and pastoral culture have been considered.
