THE CRITICAL SPIRIT OF JUNIMEA: CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVES ON THE ROMANIAN CULTURE AND LITERATURE

Summary/Abstract: Our study* proposes a formal review of some articles of a great representative of the critical spirit of Junimea, Titu Maiorescu, articles which represent the basic foundation theoretical and doctrinaire of the Romanian criticism at the end of the nineteenth century. His views and opinions, exposed without reserve, are a plea for the themes of the autochthonous cultural area and an illustration of different forms of his irony and his negation come in contradiction with the Ŗforms without substanceŗ
