CONSIDERATIONS ON TOMA PAVEL’S STUDY, LA PENSÉE DU ROMAN

Summary/Abstract: Our study focuses on the novel of Toma Pavel about „novel thinking” (La pensée du roman). Far from having the ambition to exhaust the subject, or giving to the reader an overview erudite work, La pensée du roman is recommended by the author, from the opening pages, to the benevolence of the public and originates disagreement between the literary tastes of the author and prejudices on history of the novel. What caught our attention was that Toma Pavel stopped on several representative works from each historical epoch analyzing them, sometimes in detail, the action and the meaning, as well as some fundamental concepts: the individual, the worlds, the moral law.
