Summary/Abstract: This article reports on selected forms of scientific cooperation between the EU member states and third countries, as well as the means of supporting it. In the first section the author presents the key documents and future EU strategies regarding the enhancement of international scientific cooperation. Next, she reviews the current and future relevant framework programmes and presents some examples of interregional scientific collaboration.
