Summary/Abstract: Albanian civilization was bom and developed under the influence of cultural clashes from east and west. This fact is clearly shown in Albanian outfits fashion, particularly in outfits of Albanian cities. Various elements of Byzantine period were noticed in the outfits of the XIV-XV century affirmed by the frescos preserved in the old churches. These elements were preserved until the second half of the XIX century. Meanwhile, oriental outfits circulated during this period in the Albanian cities. However, local traditional fashion flourished in rural regions, the joublet (for women) and kilts (for men) were the most prefered.
