Summary/Abstract: The article shows the process of the image formation of Sevastopol in Soviet authors pieces of music. Investigated is the role of representatives of the Soviet musical intelligentsia in preservation of cultural and historical memory of society. Distinguished is the variety of reasons, explaining gradual transformation of the Sevastopol image in the Soviet musical culture.
