Two Slavonic Versions of Vita St. Gregorii Magni

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of two Slavonic versions oi Vita St. Gregorii Magni – the first can be found in the old-Bulgarian Codex Suprasliensis, the second precedes the full Bulgarian version of Dialogi St. Gregorii Magni written in the 14th c. On the basis of textological, lexical and grammatical evidence is shown the independent translation of each version, as well as the different manner of translation in the Slavonic Middle Ages. The text of the Vita from manuscript Q. I. 275 from the GPB-collection in St. Petersburg is appended.
