Summary/Abstract: The article presents basic assumption of evolutionary economics and the way the economic issues are explained using evolutionary categories. The terms such as emergence and the conditions which determined its occurrence are explained and used to describe interfirm network phenomenon. The article concerns in particular: supervenience, irreducibility, downward causation and self-organization.
