Summary/Abstract: Management strategies with respect of a networked organization are chosen on the basis of assessment of access to key resources and competences, and in the context of internal and external relationships with other network participants. Management of a networked organization requires activation of all network participants, exploiting the combined potential and enhancing the cohesion. The study aims to show changes observed in the field of development and implementation of network management systems. The article discusses factors determining an approach to network management which tends to abandon direct competitive struggle for the benefit of cooperation and other forms of collaborative relationships.
