Summary/Abstract: The use of new technologies in preventing and treating Alzheimer's disease is aimed at the early detection, implementation of more effective treatments and improve the level of care for people suffering from the disease. Placing on the market of active implantable medical devices (including microchips for implantation in patients with Alzheimer's disease and use in taking care of them) is subject to restrictive legal requirements.
