Multidimensional comparative analysis of the socio-economic situation of Lower Silesia region cities

Summary/Abstract: In the socio-economic development of the region the main area are cities. Cities are centers of economic, social, scientific and cultural development. Cities concentrate the majority of economic and social activity in the region. The paper examines similarities and differences between selected cities in the Lower Silesia region with a population of over 30 000 inhabitants (excluding the city of Wrocław). For this purpose, we identified and analyzed the selected areas of the cities. This allowed the specification of the elements differentiating the most and least studied objects. In the comparative analysis of the socio-economic cities in the Lower Silesia region we used multidimensional comparative analysis methods in the form of linear ordering and multidimensional scaling. The calculations have been made with packages and R program.
