Summary/Abstract: The subject of the paper is the presentation of the tools of the modern patient service. Latest changes in the organization of the health care in Poland are discussed. The attention is paid to the development of the health care system computerization. New features, platforms and portals friendly and helpful to patients are presented. An aspect of the modern psychiatric care is also introduced. The future projects of the further modernization and improvement of the patient service are listed. Finally, the problem of dehumanization of medicine as a consequence of excessive bureaucracy, digitization and commercialization of the health care is outlined.
