About Some Breaches of the Pronunciation Norm in Public Speaking

Summary/Abstract: The pronunciation norm is an important component of the linguistic and communicative competence of each person.The breaches of this norm in public speaking have a negative impact on the speech development of the listeners.The author’s focus is on common mistakes of politicians, journalists and analysts.The present article discusses the most typical breaches: improper use of verb endings, failure to coordinate the forms of civility, numeral plural form of masculine nouns, variable [ja], placing stress on the wrong syllable.
