Summary/Abstract: The report examines some aspects of real political life in the country related to forthcoming presidential elections. The focus is centered on the readiness of Bulgarian women to participate in government at the highest political level. The different points of view, public attitudes and perceptions are studied and the role of political emancipation as a factor in eliminating the gender division and as a motivator for equal participation of women in the upcoming elections is examined as well.
