The memoirs of Peter Neykov like strokes to an absent intellectual history

Summary/Abstract: This text goes into the question about memoirs of little known Bulgarian writer, publicist, translator, journalist and diplomatist Petar Neykov. Object of attention are his books „Their portraits”, „The day before yesterday and yesterday” and „Memories” read in the light of Bulgarian intellectual thought. His memories not just outline the profile of Bulgarian intellectual, oriented towards West, but allude to the toposses and hard ways of our intellectual history.
