Summary/Abstract: Media and PR originate, are realized and interact in the field of public communications to accomplish the relationship power (political and economic) – society. That gives an explanation of the genealogic connection between them as well as the difficulties in their communication. The article is trying to give an answer to the following questions: is there information which is not influenced by political and corporate interests; is modern journalism ethical or bribed by PR; are really PR positioned so well in the electronic exchange of information that they can corrupt media; and if so what is the reason for their power; is there a “twilight zone” in the relationship between the media and PR; do PR enter aggressively into the public sphere andmanipulate it or media for obvious reasons sell easily their nature to be authorities’ corrective; can an ethical code solve the problems in a field which isnot transparent.
