Summary/Abstract: This paper defines the collaborative consumption in relation to various literature approaches and it sketches research gaps related to this emerging phenomenon. The authors propose scales useful in studying the collaborative consumption propensity in the context of ride sharing via popular BlaBlaCar website. The proposed measurement model is supported empirically, so it may be utilized in further research. The paper deliberates on managerial challenges referring to popularization of collaborative consumption.
