Summary/Abstract: The role of the liquidity management in the companies have been the subject of longstanding discussion in the literature. Economic situation of the country is one of the most important factor determining financial liquidity of the company. Turbulent economic conditions of recent years means that maintaining financial liquidity is a priority task of every entrepreneur. The article presents the characteristic and determinants of financial liquidity management of Polish enterprises. It is especially dedicated to the companies from the SME sector, declaring the greatest problems with liquidity maintaining. This requires constant analysis of this issue and create tools to support the liquidity management in small and medium-sized enterprises. The analysis is based on the results of the survey, conducted on a group of 380 businesses in South Poland in 2014.
