Economic value added in cooperative banks

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the posssibility of introducing elements of value management in cooperative banks. The main role in this system is played by value creation matrics, especially economic value added. The implementation of this goal is associated with using research methods of reasonig by analogy. This article charaterizes elements of value management and identifies the main value factors in cooperative banks. Economic value added is presented as a basic value measure and it is adapted to specifics of cooperative banks. In the calculation of the banking economic value added, banking net operating, cost of equity and equity correction are taken into account.
