The contract of sale in international trade ? selected aspects of legal and law order

Summary/Abstract: The changes that took place in the Polish economy caused that many indigenous entities successfully become part of the international trading system. However, beyond the clear benefits of signing and implementing sales contracts on the international arena, it also creates a lot of risks, which they should be conscious of. The aim of the article is to present selected aspects of legal order-related obligations in international conditions, including the Polish norms of common law and in particular the principles of the so-called conflict of laws. The paper discusses the main conditions of the contract of international goods sale. In particular it presents the issue of contracts in the light of the Vienna Convention, and also very important from the point of view of potential disputes, the choice of law governing the contract and the possibility of resolving contentious issues in international sale contracts.
