Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to determine the social value Sołacki Park in Poznan using contingent valuation method. The subject of the study were based on data from 200 surveys; related primarily to: the amount of compensation they would be willing to accept surveyed for the loss of the benefit of the park (WTA), as well as the amount that could be allocated to avoid degradation of the natural environment of the park (WTP). The study also identified socio-economic characteristics of respondents (age, education, income and marital status. The results are presented by means of tables, bar charts and column. The research was hypothetical and estimates, however, showed a high social value Sołacki Park.
