Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the process of harmonization of study programs, second cycle studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica with the real needs of the labor market. For the realization of this process there have been identified and implemented several activities. In addition to the analysis of the justification and the need for innovation of study programs, second cycle study, investigation and analysis offer study programs, second cycle in the neighboring area of Faculty of Economics University of Zenica. After analyzing the existing programs of study, the questionnaire design for companies has been carried out and a survey was conducted, in order to learning outcomes, through the activity of creating them, turn on the specific requirements of employers in terms of the qualifications of graduates of II study cycle. Analysis of the data showed that employers who had the opportunity to employ masters of the economy, in most cases, considered to masters of the economy at the time of employment do not have the level of knowledge that corresponds to their profession. As key causes of such a state employers see: too broadly defined areas of study, the lack of practical training during their studies, between existing study programs to the needs of the labor market, the objects are not closely related to the area of specialization, and the lack of well-defined learning outcomes. This data, collected by surveying employers, greatly influenced the innovation ofstudy programs, with a view to reducing the discrepancy of provided knowledge during the study with the real demands of the labor market.
