Aspects of the legal regime of topographies to the semiconductors (I)

Summary/Abstract: Noting the modest concern of doctrine in the field, for in depth analysis of the legal regime of „topographies of semiconductor products”, over several studies published in „Romanian Journal of Intellectual Property Law” we aim to contribute on covering this gap. Analysis of Law No. 16/1995 on the protection of topographies of semiconductor products is carried out systematically and systemically, by considering correlations between its provisions and regulations provided by other normative acts, which represent, for this law, under various aspects, the „common law. Also, the logical and legal approach of Law No. 16/1995 gave us possibility to point out the existence of some normative inconsistencies and state, in this way, proposals of lege ferenda to abolish them.
