Summary/Abstract: The article aims at presenting the challenges posed by future consumers from the point of view of design management. Consumers expect that the products offered to them will surprise them and that the things used everyday will look differently, will be unique. Living up to such expectations will be the decisive factor in terms of competition. It is possible thanks to implementing the concept of design management into the way an organization functions. The text was created on the basis of an interview with Desa’s employee of many years.
