Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the deliberations contained in this article is to analyze the seasonality of tourist demand in seaside hotels in Poland. Presented in this paper are literature studies based on domestic and foreign academic achievements, as well as private research carried out on a group of 101 hotels of medium and higher category. In the course of the research process the utilization of tourist accommodation in 2014 was presented. It was based on two indicators: the rate of both hotel room and general accommodation occupancy. The research has uncovered the occurrence of the problem of seasonality and indicated important for the hotel market dependencies between the category of the hotel and the occurrence of seasonality. It has also helped to draw practical conclusions from the point of view of hotel industry.
