Summary/Abstract: The article is a voice in discussion about the role that the Internet plays in buying behavior of contemporary consumers. In the area of communication between people, the Internet proved to be a real revolution. It entered all areas of human life quickly, including the purchase-sale transaction. In the article were presented reviews and opinions of e-consumers from Belgium, France, Poland and Slovakia about ways of shopping on-line in their countries. The research results show, that opinions and judgements of consumers from European countries about ways of shopping on-line are getting similar. Internet as a place of purchasing goods and services is trusted by the consumers, however they do not forget about the risk, which they must bear while shopping on-line.
