Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the expert’s evaluation method in the research of directions of the retail trade and services development. This article describes research which 20 trade experts and 23 service experts took part in. The expert selection was deliberate, they were people, who, by virtue of their interests, knowledge and experience, should be acknowledged as experts in the area of trade and services. The year 2020 was the research perspective. Thanks to using this method, information was received, among other things, about the changes which could happen in trade and services in Europe, predicted changes in offer of trade and service enterprises or predicted changes in the ways of customers service. Accordingly, the expert’s evaluation method can be acknowledged as useful in the research of directions of trade and services development, despite identified disadvantages and restrictions.
