Summary/Abstract: Swear words and interjections in the world of Tintin: changes, enlargement and reduction of meaning in Italian translations. Tintin is one of the best known all over the world French language comics. Even in Italy Tintin has been translated and published. Starting from a linguistic analysis on Haddock’s swearwords, one of the best friend of Tintin, we will observe the Italian translations (four editions from 1965 to 2011) of the French album Le crabe aux pinces d’or.
