Summary/Abstract: The Middle East and Central Asia constitute the especially important areas, taking into account the process of conducting US public diplomacy. It is the result of a number of factors. The most important one are the events of September 11, 2001 which are the cause for, on the one hand, the direct military engagement of Washington in those regions and, on he other hand, the increase in anti-American feelings in so-called Muslim countries. Thereby it seems to be justifiable to present the chosen instruments of conducting US public diplomacy in teh Middle East and Central Asia, along with the priorites of American foreihn policy regarding those regions.
