Summary/Abstract: Section for Supporting Impecunious School-attending Youths of the Society for Spreading EducationAmong the Jews in Częstochowa commenced its philanthropic, educational and cultural activityin the year 1917, and concluded it on 25th October, 1924. The principal objective of that organizationwas providing financial (or other kind of tangible) support for impecunious Jewish youthsundergoing education in primary schools on the area of Częstochowa. Financial assistance was inthe form of educational loans, and also providing the sum of money constituted so-called ’entryfee’ in primary schools. Material assistance was provided in the form of school textbooks, and alsoin that of stationery. The Section concluded its activity because of having neither members, nor new financial means, due to which it was unable to fully meet its statutory obligations, namely to provide financial and material assistance for needy school attendees.
