Summary/Abstract: This text emphasizes Metropolitan Bartolomeu Valeriu Anania as a philologist and proofreader of the Romanian translation of the Bible, a hypostasis with a significant relevance in the volume Caiete de lucru. Atelier biblic-Workbooks. Bible Workshop (2003). This is an exceptional philological work, with plenty of excerpts that preserve the intellectual passion of ten years of work, on one hand, and, on the other hand, the respect for the texts consulted and accurately compared by the scholar in his effort to give the sacred text the most adequate Romanian form. The hard working researcher selected from among the 37 complete editions previous to Bartolomeu`s version of the Bible, since The New Testament from Bălgrad (1643): the Bible of Şerban (1688), the edition of the Bible by the Holy Synod in 1914, plus not less than 15 other Romanian and foreign editions. The text chosen for proofreading and adaptation was the Bible (Bucureşti, 1975). This work has the watermark and the essential expressivity of the writer Valeriu Anania.
