GEOPOLITICAL DILEMMAS OF UKRAINE IN THE FACE OD THE GLOBALIZATION AND IMPACTS OF GREAT POWERS

Summary/Abstract: The authors of the article made an attempt to discuss the main scenarios of the evolution of the Ukrainian geopolitics in the face of the globalization and in the context of the external impacts, that is, mainly of Russia, the EU and the USA. The advantages and disadvantages of the existing multi-vector foreign policy of Ukraine as well as pro-European (pro-Western) orientation, moreover, pro-Russian orientation of the Ukrainian integrative vector were discussed. Furthermore, the attention was also drawn to the so-called internal geopolitics, which would play an important role and had the decisive impact on the post-revolutionary developments in Ukraine, including the role of the economic and political elites in the process of reforming the Ukrainian society as well as the balanced development of regions.
