Summary/Abstract: Enterprises are continuously seeking better and more efficient models of operating on the market. Outsourcing is one of the business management methods that continues to grow in popularity. The paper presents the outsourcing theory as well as outsourcing activities undertaken by companies operating on the air services market. Airlines and airports decide what areas and in what form they can “outsource”, depending on their needs, resources and priorities. When choosing a service provider, the company should have regard to their knowledge, experience and ability to provide operations at the highest level. Companies must be also aware that accurate decisions will be profitable and will result in strengthening company’s position but mistakes may expose companies to increased costs and reduced value of the organization.
