Summary/Abstract: Rad u institucionalnom okruženju je specifičan. Ova specifičnost dijelom proizlazi i iz razlika koje postoje među institucijama u pogledu kategorije štićenika koje primaju, dužine boravka štićenika, otvorenosti ili zatvorenosti institucija prema okolini, stilovima rukovođenja, unutrašnjoj organizaciji itd. Uprkos ovim razlikama, jedna od zajedničkih karakteristika svih institucija je zajednički život određenog broja osoba koje su, najčešće, raspoređene u grupe. Profesionalni rad u institucionalnom okruženju čine tri veoma značajna elementa, a to su: biti, promišljati i djelovati. Osnovna karakteristika ovih elemenata je njihova tijesna povezanost, što dovodi do toga da se veoma rijetko pravi razlika između njih. Work in the institutional environment is of specific character. Its specificity partially stems from differences among institutions themselves which concern categories of protégées they accommodate, length of protégées’ stay; whether the relevant institutions are opened or closed towards the environment, styles of their management, internal organisation, etc. Despite the differences, one of the common characteristics of all the institutions is that of cohabitation of certain number of persons that are, most frequently, organised in groups. Professional work in the institutional environment consists of three very important elements: existence, reflection and action. The main characteristic of these elements lays in their close interconnectedness, which results in a fact that we very rare make distinction between them.
