Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the polished stone objects (35 in total) found in the Gulmenita culture settlement at Trestenic, Nalbant commune, Tulcea County. The site was found in 1988, during surface investigations and is situated on a low terrace, close to Techea Creek. In 1989, the only archaeological survey campaign was conducted. On this occasion, an area 25 m long and 5 m wide was incompletely set out and researched, down to 3.35 m. In this analysis, we approached several aspects that contribute to improving our understanding of an artifact’s operational sequence from raw material block to discarded item.
