Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this research was to identify the way according to which the Romanian population is classified as to the values of the factors of the Big Five model. The five factors (Extraversion, Emotional stability, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and Autonomy)were evaluated by using the CP5F questionnaire. CP5F was designed by Monica Albu (2008) and presented within the psychological tests platform CAS++. In order to identify the personality profiles we used a sample of participants, so that we could determine the norms for CP5F (N = 1948). The age of the participants varied between 14 and 65. The raw scores of the CP5F scales were processed by factor analysis. A number of 5 factors were extracted that correspond with the factors of the Big Five model. The factor scores were processed by cluster analysis, in order to classify the participants. Six groups were identified. They can be characterized based on the averages of the factors’ scores, as follows:• group 1 (N = 990): low autonomy;• group 2 (N = 343): low conscientiousness and high emotional stability;• group 3 (N = 241): low extraversion, high emotional stability and high autonomy;• group 4 (N = 158): very high agreeableness, low emotional stability and very high autonomy;• group 5 (N = 157): low agreeableness and emotional stability, high autonomy and very high conscientiousness;• group 6 (N = 59): very low conscientiousness, low agreeableness and emotional stability and high autonomy.
